Whitewater Building Products, your source for virtually any product a home builder could need. We have had a long relationship with Whitewater's president, Larry Cartmell, even before the company started in 2001. At that time we installed an Access 64 system and a (2) server network. We had been providing network and telephony products and support ever since. In December 2005 PRENET began a total upgrade to their infrastructure. They purchased (4) new Windows 2003 servers and upgraded their original email system to Exchange 2003. One of the servers was configured as a Citrix server allowing secure remote access into their network for users not at the main location. Another server was configured as a separate database server for a new accounting system. A Castelle faxpress was also installed allowing incoming faxes to go directly to the appropriate email inbox. A new Sonicwall firewall was installed. (2) 3Com gigabit switches were also installed providing gigabit access from the servers (2gb) to the desktop (1gb). Trend Micro anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-spam programs were put into place to secure and protect important data. On the telephony side we upgraded their Axxess 64 to the current version of 9.1 and increased their internet speed from a partial T1 (384k) to a DSL (3000k). As part of this process personalized DID's and caller ID were implemented as a natural addition. They have recently opened another showroom and they use Inter-Tel IP telephones to connect, via the internet, to the main location. As this new showroom becomes more active PRENET audio/visual services may spring into action and setup their conference room with the latest in computer controlled applications for ease of use by the salesmen to show off the many wonderful products that Whitewater Building Products has to offer |
