PROJECT:

Home to 3,070 Christian students, Cedarville is an accredited, Christ-centered, Baptist university of arts, sciences, professional, and graduate programs. More recently it has become home to an excellent technological learning tool.

CHALLENGE:

Create a classroom that simulates the New York Stock Exchange trading floor.

With the financial support of KeyBank and the Key Foundation, the KeyBank Trading Center has become a similated stock trading floor. Cedarville's Department of Business Administration (DBA) equips their students with a live Bloomberg feed, an electronic data ticker and 20 double-monitor workstations. KeyBank will continue it's relationship with Cedarville over the next three years. KeyBank plans to make an internship available to a Cedarville finance major, host educational outings to their headquarters in Cleveland, and make available professional counseling to Cedarville and their finance program.

Premier Network Solutions became involved in the supplying the technology. By tying together the various plasmas, touchpanels and feeds with a Crestron control system we were able to supply them with the equipment necessary to simulate the New York Stock Exchange. It took extensive programming, but the end result is technology savvy, innovative tool developed to learn and experience financial environment of the stock market.
